Meet Ellie and Jason. Well, you might’ve already met them if you saw their pre wedding bridal session at Mt. Rainier (check it out here!). Anywho, a few weeks later, these two had their wedding at Marionfield farms in Arlington, Washington. The pacific northwest is the best place to be in the summer. Minimal rain + gray that it’s typically known for, sunshine, perfect temps and a million places waiting for you to adventure in them. So when Ellie and Jason first reached out about my photographing their summer wedding in Washington, my answer was absolutely yes!
They kept things simple, intentional and meaningful on their wedding day. Jason had already seen Ellie in her dress for their Mt. Rainier bridal session (in fact, he helped her pick it out!) but we still did a first look since afterall, it was their wedding day! We did their portraits, a few with their bridal party, and then some family formals before the ceremony began.
My favorite part of the day? When Ellie’s dad walked her around the corner and Ellie and Jason saw each other. Ellie had the biggest beaming smile on her face, and Jason LOST it - like Kim Kardashian ugly crying lost it (love ya, Jason!). IT WAS PRESH. As I cried myself behind my camera, they began their ceremony, which included vows and lots of family + friends involvement. I love seeing how couples make their ceremonies (and entire wedding day!) unique to them, and these two definitely did that.
After the ceremony, and signing of their marriage certificate, we took a few more portraits of the two of them before heading into their reception. They had the BESTTTT food - all types of vegetarian + vegan options and it was delish. After some eating, dancing, cupcaking and mingling with friends, they got ready for their bubble send off!
It was such a beautiful day, and I’m so happy to have walked out of Washington with two new adventure buds!
