Ah Yosemite - lucky you! Yosemite is a stunner of a national park. The granite walls that were once shaped by glaciers, tower above the beautiful meadow that sits below. Yosemite is home to raging waterfalls (if you time it right!), groves of massive old growth redwoods, the delicate meadow filled with long grass and pines, and of course, the granite walls like El Capitan that tower thousands of feet above you!
A favorite of rock climbers, hikers, and outdoor lovers alike, this is an amazing place to spend your time outside, enjoying everything that national parks have to offer. Stay in a cozy lodge that will give you a nostalgic feel, but has all of the comfy amenities to come home to after a long day of exploring! And a big bonus? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a less-than-spectacular sunset in Yosemite!
Yosemite National Park is the perfect location for your elopement if you want to full emerge yourself in nature and a consistent style of landscape. Time it right, and you can count of Yosemite to give you a sun filled day! Your elopement day could be spent by watching the sunrise at Half Dome, getting ready in a comfy lodge, picnic in the meadow, hike to a waterfall, and sunset snuggles above the valley. Or, there are plenty of full day hikes that will take you outside of the crowds and into intimate areas where you’ll feel like the only people in the park!
