Grand Teton Elopement Photography | Wyoming Adventure Elopement | National Park Wildlife Elopement
Texas couple, Courtney and Eric decided to elope in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming for their adventure elopement this summer! They originally planned to get married in Hawaii earlier this year but we had to make some last minute travel changes due to COVID.
The morning of the elopement we woke up early…3am! I arrived before the sun came up to photograph them getting ready for their wilderness elopement. Courtney is obsessed with mountains and wildlife and we wanted to make sure that they had plenty of time to see the animals and the sunrise on their special day - which I was so down for!
Their wedding adventure began in the Tetons by a beautiful spot along Snake River which offers spectacular reflections of the mountains. There’s an ethereal, pink light called "Alpenglow" which occurs for only a few quiet moments each morning as the sun peaks over the horizon. We were able to capture some gorgeous sunrise portraits together.
Courtney and Eric are proud lab parents with four fur babies of their own and Courtney has a coffee shop chain in Texas called “Lucky Lab Coffee Co.” For our morning adventure they brought along their own special coffee cups featuring you guessed it, labs!
We spotted a mama and baby moose along our morning walk and stopped to sip some coffee and watch them, making sure not to get too close. We then met up with their wedding officiant to drive up an unpaved forest road together and select their perfect ceremony spot.
We found a beautiful mountain just across the valley from the Tetons and picked out a scenic view without a sleeping camper in the background of the photos! The ceremony itself was short but sweet and filled with so much love.
Afterward, we continued our adventure and saw fox, elk, buffalo, bison, moose, SO MUCH WILDLIFE! Courtney and Eric changed into some comfortable clothes and we continued the adventure. We met up with a boat captain who took us out on a wooden boat along Snake River. We floated eight miles down the river to a campsite, enjoying the weather and spotting 12 bald eagles along the way.
We arrived at a campsite and enjoyed the rest of the day in beautiful, Grand Teton, Wyoming! Check out some more photos below.
