Getting ready in the glamping tents
There are multiple tent sizes available at Terramor. Both are spacious and airy, which is perfect for getting ready. K&C got ready in separate tents with each of their close friends and family helping. This made things extremely relaxed, as we all had enough space to spread out. I was also able to move between tents really easily, and capture the process of getting ready separately.
K’s family helped her into her dress, and everyone popped champagne for a quick toast. K snuck away with me to the car and we headed into the park to meet C for a first look.
First look in Acadia National Park and private vows and picnic at Bubble Rock
We drove to Schooner Overlook in Acadia National Park for their first look. Schooner overlook is a great first look location as it’s easy to access, has great views and also pretty private. After the first look, they explored the location a bit more, taking in the scenery.
Then, we headed to Bubble Rock. This was the location in Acadia National Park where they chose to read their private vows. Like many couples who elope with family, this was the first ceremony of the day, with the second one coming later with their guests in attendance.
After they read their vows, they sat down for a cute charcuterie picnic. One thing K really wanted to do was to sit and eat pickles since she absolutely loves them (very cute, I know). So, they both opened up a toolbox full of snacks and relaxed before it was time to meet family.
Family elopement ceremony at Otter Point
It was important to K&C that they did spend most of their elopement day with family. Right after their first look and private vows, we headed down to Otter Point to meet family. Otter Point is one of my favorite locations in Acadia for family ceremonies. It’s easy to access, has a larger parking area and is spacious and flat enough for everyone to stand comfortably.
Their ceremony was intimate and sweet, ending with family group portraits. As we walked back up from their ceremony, one of their friends pulled me aside. K&C are big into motorcycles, so their friend had decked out a bike with “just married” signs and aluminum cans. They hopped on for a little post-ceremony joy ride and photos.

Terramor glamping elopement: reception and campfire
A huge plus to booking a Terramor glamping elopement in Acadia National Park is the venue’s capacity for a reception. They have space for around 200 guests to celebrate! Even if your group will be much smaller, they have charming pavilion areas which are perfect for BBQs and bonfires.
When we all arrived back to Terramor for the reception, their friends signed their marriage license. At this point, they both were very ready to get changed into matching sweaters and enjoy dinner, dancing and dessert!
