Snowy Engagement Session in the White Mountains

Meghan and Ben booked me to shoot their May elopement in Iceland, so it was only fitting they ended up with a snowy engagement session in New Hampshire! It took us a while to coordinate a location, as they actually live in Boston. While I was hosting a workshop in New Hampshire, these two agreed to make the drive and meet me!

We originally planned to do a 3 mile hike to a scenic viewpoint, but the weather had other plans for us that day. The temps dived and snow was imminent.

We opted for a spot called Artist Bluff in New Hampshire, overlooking Echo Lake. Artist Bluff is a famous NH lookout, but that day, we had it all to ourselves. (This probably had something to do with the weather forecast…) With lots of breaks to layer back up and get warm, these two made the most of it

To avoid the worst of the snow, we moved the session to the early afternoon. It was an easy half mile hike. We enjoyed the views over the ridge before heading down to the lake, where it began to snow.

Meghan and Ben popped champagne along the shore, with snow falling lightly. As we explored more of the beach, the snow was really picking up. Not even the least bit put off, they played in the blizzard and the photos ended up being very romantic and sweet! It was everything you could hope for during a cold and snowy engagement session in New Hampshire.

Pretty much soaked through and cold, we wandered back to our cars to get warm. At this point, we were very much looking forward to their next adventure: their spring elopement in Iceland!
