Oregon Coast Elopement at Samuel Boardman State Park
Samuel Boardman State Park Elopement | Oregon Coast Adventure Elopement | Elope on the Oregon Coast
Yole Anna reached out to me a few months before her adventure elopement along the Oregon Coast and said this: “Listen, I’ve been a bridesmaid in like 7 weddings. It’s been fun, but I come from a large Italian family and I know thats just not what I want”. So I said, alright - let’s get to dreaming! And that’s exactly what we did. Her and Samuel were up for wherever, so we started looking at different locations, narrowed it down to the Oregon Coast, and then narrowed it down even more to Samuel Boardman State Park.
Something I loved about these two were that they were just so happy no matter what. Their day required a lot of flexibility. We had three trails in mind, and the day before, I scouted them all to realize that the first was going to be pretty hard in a wedding dress, but Yole Anna + Samuel decided they were up for it! The morning of their wedding day, I went to scout a few back up locations, and then entire coast was a WALL OF FOG. They had come to the Oregon Coast for the stunning rocky + cliff shorelines and I was afraid that their dreams of witnessing just that was going down the drain. But regardless of the weather, they were as happy as could be. They were just thrilled to be along the coast and getting married.
And lucky enough for them, as we began their ceremony, the fog began to burn off!! They saw the epic coastline, and got married along it, and then we explored the “pretty hard” trail, and they absolutely CRUSHED it. You’ll see photos of them as the reach the bottom of the trail + their celebratory faces. We spent the afternoon into evening, hiking, exploring, and being amazed at the beauty of the Oregon Coast until the sun went down, we hiked back in the dark, and they finished their day a PB Smash. Their own tradition at the end of a hike to take bread, bananas, and peanut butter and smash it! Sign me up!
You’ll notice a pair of purple Nikes show up in their elopement photos. Yole Anna brought them along to their elopement because they were the reason that the two of them were there that day, eloping on the Oregon Coast! Yole Anna and Samuel met in a gym, and while Samuel, the most gregarious, extroverted, chatty person you could come across, noticed Yole Anna, he couldn’t come up with a way to start a conversation. Until some time went by and he went up to her and said he liked her purple Nikes because they were his favorite color. The conversation began and quickly they were off on a date, engaged, and eloping at Samuel Boardman State Park!
This was a great one. An elopement day full of so much joy, adventure, flexibility and intentionality. The Oregon Coast is a magical place and an incredibly special place to elope. And Samuel Boardman State Park is an epic spot along it that really proves why the Oregon Coast is so worthy of an adventure!
