Day one of Sarah & Jacob’s beautiful, Intimate Utah Wedding Photography was truly special to be a part of. They made the day extra special by hiring an incredible private chef to create Vegan Wedding Catering at Zion, just for them.
Sarah & Jacob, lovers of Monet, American National Parks, and of course, each other, had their hearts set on a Zion National Park Elopement. Unfortunately, 2020 being what it was made finding a ceremony space large enough for their 20 guests virtually impossible. Fortunately, they were able to find the perfect compromise, hosting their gorgeous Intimate Utah Wedding at an Airbnb that runs along the border of Zion National Park. This way, they could host the intimate wedding they dreamed of with their closest family and friends, and because they planned a two-day elopement, they were also able to get those breathtaking Zion portraits the next day.
INTIMATE UTAH WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Intimate Utah Wedding Photography
If you love the idea of eloping surrounded by some of America’s most beautiful scenery, but you know you want your loved ones to celebrate your wedding with you, then an Intimate Wedding could be the perfect compromise. In fact, this is exactly what Sarah & Jacob did for their October wedding just outside of Utah’s Zion National Park. So, if you’re asking yourself what exactly an Intimate Wedding is, just keep scrolling!
An Intimate Wedding is usually classed as a wedding with less than 20 people, and for all effective purposes, it is just a really small wedding. For Sarah & Jacob, they wanted to get ready together with their families, laugh and cry at their heartfelt speeches, and dance together late into the night.
While they had initially planned to have their wedding ceremony inside Zion National Park, Covid had other plans. Luckily, they were able to find the most wonderful alternative. The pair found an Airbnb that included a beautiful property bordering Zion, and hosted their Intimate Utah Wedding and Wedding Photography there.
Alternatives to Planning an Intimate National Park Wedding
Planning an Intimate National Park Wedding is actually quite easy, it just requires a little bit of advanced planning. That said, if you want to have 20 guests, ceremony locations can be limiting. While it wasn’t initially their first choice, Sarah & Jacob’s alternative of booking an Airbnb just outside of the park’s boundaries was a really wonderful solution. As you can see from the photos, it looked and felt like Zion National Park, but because they were outside the Park’s boundaries, they didn’t need to worry about permits or guest limitations. Especially with Covid requirements making things more difficult, it turned out to be a really wonderful option.
Not to mention, it was such a beautiful, quirky desert home! It made for stunning Intimate Wedding Utah Photography as we used the backdrops of the two little buildings, as well as Zion’s famous red rocks and cliffs in the distance. Because it borders the National Park, there was also barely any light pollution which meant we were able to spend some time taking beautiful star photos at the end of the night.
Vegan Wedding Catering at Zion
Something a little bit different about Sarah & Jacob’s Intimate Utah Wedding was the catering! This super sweet couple are vegan, and so they worked really hard to find a wonderful Vegan Wedding Caterer near Zion. They told me that so often, when you go to a restaurant as a vegan, there are maybe just one or two things to choose from. But the chef that they hired for their wedding put together an incredible full dining experience for them! Their Vegan Wedding Catering at Zion came with multiple options – an appetizer, a main, a soup, a dessert – and it was genuinely delicious food.
It was truly a wonderful day, made even better for knowing that the next day we’d get to explore the beauties of Zion together. Stay tuned for Day 2 of Sarah & Jacob’s Intimate Utah Wedding Photography!!
